The Marvelous Caitlin Clark

I’ve become something of a WNBA fan. I don’t mean that I watch the games — I’m a sports enthusiast, but even I have my limits. Rather, I’m a Caitlin Clark devotee and now follow her and her team, the Indiana Fever (below .500, but in playoff position), pretty closely.

First, negative partisanship made me sympathetic to her, and then as I learned more, genuine admiration for how she plays and handles herself made me a true fan. She’s been great since the All-Star break and, as a rookie, is a top-ten scorer and leads the league in assists.

I’m hoping her greatness only grows.
