Re Obama’s “citizen of the world” schtick, it’s worth noting that in the classic film Casablanca, the same phrase refers to an alcoholic:
Major Strasser: What is your nationality?
Rick: I’m a drunkard.
Captain Renault: That makes Rick a citizen of the world.
