During my more impressionable days as an undergraduate, an anthropology professor told me that deodorants masked the natural male scent, which women considered an aphrodisiac. I promptly quit using deodorant. My “experiment” lasted about a year. I had had little success with women before the change, and none afterwards.
I never published my findings.
Me: I prefer to call this odor “manbrosia.” I agree that its power seems quite limited.
