Someone — Probably Israel — Sent an Explosive Message to Hezbollah’s Pagers

Your week may be off to a rough start. The car needs repairs, your boss is in a bad mood, you burned last night’s dinner, the scale says you added five pounds over the weekend . . . you know, the usual buffet table of bad news.

But no matter how bad everything is going, at least you didn’t buy a secondhand pager from Hezbollah.

Apparently more than a thousand members of Hezbollah are injured, and three are dead, because their pagers all exploded simultaneously this morning. If you hate the guys in Hezbollah who are committed to killing as many Jews as they can, the security footage of guys’ waistbands suddenly exploding is the feel-good video of the year. I just need a soundbite of John Madden saying “BOOM!” to punctuate the moment of detonation.

And it wasn’t just Hezbollah: “Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, suffered a minor injury when a pager exploded, Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency reported.”

But let’s remember all of the victims of this sabotage; many Israelis remain at great risk of pulling muscles from laughing so hard.
