I was pleased to join the hosts of Fox News Channel’s America’s Newsroom on Thursday alongside co-host of The Five, Jessica Tarlov, to assess Kamala Harris’s performance during last night’s interview with Special Report host Bret Baier. While Tarlov observed that Harris’s team is quite happy with how she handled herself, I judged it a “failure” insofar as it would not do what Harris’s own campaign officials set out to achieve. It was the interview equivalent of shock and awe. Just surgical strikes on one glaring policy vulnerability after another, and Harris had no satisfying response to any of the substantive questions asked.
