Unless new facts come out, I think this is simply the domestic equivalent of friendly-fire during the war on terror. Regretable, unfortunate, lamentable but unavoidable. Or at least I hope it’s unavoidable. I would hope that under similar circumstances to those alleged, police will continue to err on the side of shooting suicide-bombers before they self-detonate and murder many innocents.
