Senate GOP Battles Obama’s NLRB Appointees

Senate Republicans continue to hammer President Obama for his recess appointees to the National Labor Relations Board.

On Wednesday, Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri introduced the “Advise and Consent Restoration Act,” which would “eliminate the salaries” of the controversial appointees. GOP senators Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Jim Inhofe, Pat Roberts, and Tim Scott are cosponsors.

Republicans are furious that the NLRB is going to treat these appointees as voting members, even though a federal court recently ruled that the appointments are unconstitutional.

Here’s Blunt’s latest floor statement:

Earlier this week, Senator Lamar Alexander urged the appointees to resign.
