Santorum Not Joining Fire Firing Squad

Rick Santorum was given multiple opportunities yesterday in New Hampshire to join the piling on about Mitt Romney’s “like being able to fire people” supposed gaffe.

He wouldn’t in Nashua:

“We try to hire good people, we try to keep them employed. If someone if obviously not performing their duty and their mission, obviously a business has a responsibility for the greater good of the business and the other employees to make sure that everybody there is pulling their weight,” Santorum said.

And on Hannity last night, the former Pennsylvania senator said:

This is capitalism… businesses fail … I just don’t think as a conservative and someone who believes in business that we should be out there playing the games that the Democrats play saying somehow capitalism is bad.
