Ryan: Obama’s ‘Tint of Desperation’

Rep. Paul Ryan (R., Wis.), the ranking member of the House Budget Committee, tells National Review Online that he senses a “tint of desperation” in President Obama’s new economic proposal. Obama, he adds, was “hyperbolic” in his criticisms of House GOP Leader John Boehner during a speech yesterday in Ohio. “It was a Wednesday class-warfare speech,” Ryan says. “It was more about politics than economics. He promised everybody shiny new objects while moving the numbers to soak up all of the revenue. It is just rotten economics — income redistribution in hyper-drive.”
