My point certainly wasn’t that you, as an opponent of an “absolutist” line against torture, are an absolutist on the other side. But if by “absolutism” you mean opposition to doing certain things to people, even terrorists, under any circumstances, the ticking time-bomb argument doesn’t refute it.
