Over in the House, there is an effort to carve out an alternative, but I don’t think anyone in the White House or the Democratic leadership is interested in what this team is working on: At the request/okay of Boehner, Eric Cantor is working with Bachus, Biggert, Campbell, Carter, Castle, Hensarling, LaTourette, McCotter, McCrery, Putnam, and Ryan.
