Thanks for noticing! But actually, in Table 1 of our 1996 Report Card, Weld and Dean got Bs, not As. Allen got a C. I think you were looking at one of the sub-charts, not the overall rating. And this rating, done by Stephen Moore, is pure numbers. There’s nothing subjective about it. In the 94-95 period, Weld and Dean and Pataki had better fiscal policies than Allen. Pataki’s rating fell to a B in subsequent years.
