Democrats close ranks, of course, because they want to win. They need to keep their team together. But the facts are: This Harry Reid revelation has got to hurt. Democrats who are being honest will tell you that.
Doug Schoen, author of The Power of the Vote, admits to NRO that this Reid revelation: “couldn’t have come at a worse possible time for Democrats.” It’s “hard to see how his ability to produce and promote compromise on health-care and other contentious issues (e.g. cap-and-trade and immigration) will not be at least somewhat undermined by his latest gaffe.”
