Re: Reynolds vs Frum

Jonah, re that David Frum whine about whines and the whining whiners who whine them, the version that appears in The National Post suggests he’s — what’s the phrase? — questioning our patriotism:

David Frum: The Crumbling Core Of Conservative Patriotism

– unless it means David’s the crumbling core of conservative patriotism.

By the way, I hate to whine even more but, in both the Post version and the original at Frum Central, the paragraph beginning “When President Bush used to . . . ” appears to be David’s, but is, in fact, mine — even though he hasn’t put it in the blockquote. Had Sarah Palin demonstrated this consistent failure to master basic indent-blocking, Frum would be citing it as proof positive of her unfitness for office.

Oh, and for the record I never supported the initial TARP spendathon last fall. My general line on my bosses’ enthusiasm for it was expressed here:
