Regarding the Frank segment on 60 Minutes, it was actually more embarassing for Lesley Stahl and CBS. The overall tone was pretty fawning. At one point, Stahl said “Some Republicans actually blame him for the housing crisis…” “Actually”? I mean come on. The segment did mention his prostitution scandal — which it mostly glossed over — but didn’t mention that he was living with a Fannie Mae executive at the time much of the questionable housing policy was put in place, which was probably a far more relevant scandal to mention for the piece they were doing. But balanced it was not.

The piece did mention that Frank doesn’t use a computer and writes all his letters by Dictaphone. So I’m sure we can count on the President Obama to publicly chastise him for being a technophobe, right?
