Re: Paula Nowakowski

I received an e-mail from Paula at 10:20 p.m. Saturday. Midday Sunday I learned she died Saturday night. Such a reminder of how precious life is. For all our stresses and planning, it can all be over in the next moment.

Very often, e-mails lack real interaction. We often aren’t totally present to those we are communicating with over e-mail, especially if we are talking logistics. This was not the case with the e-mail I received Saturday night. Paula Nowakowski was totally present, communicating with goodness and kindness and thoughtfulness. I thought it Saturday night and I only hope my last e-mails exude the same.
