The Pope’s *religious* legacy was mana from heaven for
conservatives. Actual Catholicism. What a concept.
The Pope’s *political/economic* views were often, um,
wrong. So what? They were mostly harmless.
It’s like finding out that your capable, honest auto
mechanic listens to heavy metal music. It’s
irrelevant, and seems to be an occupational hazard.
