Re: Madrassas

When Obama was a kid, madrassas in places such as Indonesia were probably not as Wahhabi-influenced as they have become over recent decades. But isn’t the more intriguing point this: Obama was a Muslim and is now a Christian. To most of us, that’s fine: freedom of religion is a core American value, choose whatever faith you like.

But to an Islamist, Obama is an apostate. In Saudi Arabia and other countries, the penalty for turning one’s back on Islam is death. Won’t it be interesting to hear Obama – and others – discuss this question?
