Yuval — I had the same thoughts yesterday. I think that health care is going to be a live issue well into 2010, which means no matter what happens, the 2010 midterms will be referendum on what has recently passed or what is about to be voted on. Much of the 2010 election will be either about whether or not Obamacare should be repealed or killed in utero (that might be true of cap-and-trade as well). I generally think that is great news for the Republicans, but it also puts a lot of pressure on them to have concrete policy proposals of their own.
