I suspect that had protesters disrupted the New York Times’ newsroom or an editorial board meeting, the Sulzbergers would not only file criminal charges but also file civil lawsuits about the disruption of their business and there’d be no platitudes about people just wanting to be heard.

An excellent point. Perhaps the Ukrainians could test this one out with a lively protest, demanding that Walter Duranty’s Pulitzer be revoked.
