Re: Cardinal Pell and Richard Dawkins

Michael, here’s another view of that debate:

Sadly, I think, except for the section on the Real Presence in the Eucharist, Cardinal Pell let the host and Richard Dawkins set the level of the conversation.

Thus the whole debate took place within the worldview of Dawkins.

I’m inclined to agree.

For what it’s worth, I like Cardinal Pell. He turned up in the middle of a “Counterpoint” show I did down in Oz about five years ago. But this was a tricky format for him (I did “Q&A” myself about a month back).
