Jonah, no, I don’t think Yglesias would have any reason to think he knows anything about me personally in terms of views on farm subsidies. I’ve never met him or talked to him about this or any other issue, and I have certainly never written or said anything that should lead anyone to think I favored farm subsidies, which I don’t and haven’t. I didn’t like them any better when they were the Republicans’ fault than when they’ve been the Democrats’.
Like you, I take my view on the matter to be the near consensus among conservatives and not at all new.
