According to the new Washington Post poll, only one in eight want an immediate pull-out from Iraq. 52% say the war has contributed to our long-term security. 53% are optimistic about the situation in Iraq. And 51% think the war has contributed to the long-term stability of the Middle East. There are plenty of worrisome numbers in the poll too, but the public isn’t in a panic, nor is it ready to cut and run. Bush has something to work with here.
