Admittedly, Joe Biden’s performance in the debate was worse than his performance in any other high-stakes appearance. But it was also perfectly consistent with the mental and physical decline that has been obvious to careful observers for years now, a decline that was obvious in that press conference in February of this year.
I have to say, I’m angry watching talking heads on CNN and MSNBC talk about how people around Joe Biden owe us answers after what we witnessed tonight. They were all perfectly aware of Biden’s decline but happy to play along with his pretend presidency. Why don’t they answer some questions?
Biden improved markedly at the very end of the debate and some reporters at the Atlanta Democratic Watch Party report that his voice and temper improved even more there. So, what happened? Did Biden’s handlers mistime the cold medication? What is going on?
