I’m not proud of this story, but unfortunately it’s important. The aforementioned Fr. Landry called me the morning after Barack Obama was elected. Back then, I was editor of this website, and we had had a busy night. After acknowledging that, Father asked me if I had prayed for the president-elect. The audacity!, was my first, shameful reaction. It was too soon. Of course, it is never too soon to pray. And I had not.
For humanity, pray. For Joe Biden. For Donald Trump. For Pope Francis. For your brother. For each and every one. Especially if you’re talking/complaining about him.
