POTUS to Meet with Congressional Big Four on Friday

President Obama will hold a meeting with the four main congressional leaders on Friday, reports Roll Call. At the time of the president’s invitation, Republican senator Mitch McConnell had been declared the victor in his closely watched reelection campaign in Kentucky, but Republicans had not yet taken control of the Senate.

The meeting will include House speaker John Boehner, House minority leader Nancy Pelosi, current Senate majority leader Harry Reid, and McConnell, who currently heads the Republican Senate minority and is expected to take Reid’s place when the new Congress is sworn in in January.

Roll Call gives no indication of what will be on the meeting agenda, but with events unfolding as they did last night, the gathering will no doubt be an interesting affair.
