Potency, Part Iii

Drug prohibition proponents make a mistake when they only focus on the behavior of users. The real drive for more potent (and dangerous) drugs comes from producers and dealers. The illegal nature of the business encourages the production and distribution of more compact and more powerful substances. It was easier to hide a bottle of grain than a case of beer. The same dynamic is at work for drugs today.
