The Post‘s National Security ‘Bombshell’

The Armorer at Castle Argghhh! has some thoughts. The first three:

1. Thus far what I’ve seen is “D-uh, with details.” Stunning only to those who haven’t been looking.

2.  This is more excellent marketing (the website is being inundated, the advertisers must love it) than it is hard-hitting journalism.

3.. About the thesis – Yes, there is much redundancy in the intel community, not a little bit of which is useful, as different people, looking at the same thing from different perspectives, will see different things. What’s not done well at al in my view is fusion of that information, as the internal comparmentalization of data keeps things fragmented.
