Politico Story on Kentucky Governor’s Race Omits That Republican Candidate Is Black

We all know that the MSM tends to be race focused, often finding racism where none exists and extolling racial minority leaders who overcome past discrimination to win elections. Yet, Politico just did a big story on the national consequences of Kentucky governor’s close contest between Democrat incumbent Andy Beshear and Kentucky’s Republican Attorney General Daniel Cameron — without mentioning that Cameron is African American, that he is the first African American elected attorney general in Kentucky’s history, and that he will be the first black governor of Kentucky if he prevails in November.

Usually, such milestones matter to the liberal press. But not this time. (The story even has a photo of the white governor, but not the black challenger.) Curious.
