The Pharaoh Is Gone, Long Live the Pharaoh?

The press is reporting that Hosni Mubarak has stepped down; power now lies with the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces and Vice President Omar Suleiman. It’s an open question whether the crowds will accept Suleiman: He is Mubarak’s “Mini-Me” and does not represent a break from the past.

My take on how we got here and which countries could be next.
