The Corner

November

Rich: You may not want to get started on November baseball, but I won’t hold back. It’s crazy that the season is still going on. Baseball should last for about a week or ten days into October, and no more. It should be done when the leaves turn and the winter coats come out. Also, there should be fewer days off between playoff games. The regular season should end a little earlier. It may require cutting down on 162 games, but some of this can be made up by going back to old-fashioned, Saturday-afternoon double-headers. Whose bright idea was it to get rid of those?

Oh, and while I’m grousing: Brandon Inge absolutely was hit by that pitch in game #163.
