The Northern Menace

A friend who has contacts up there and knows the region well tells me that the village of Eagle has been pretty much wiped out by these ice floods. It’s bad enough to see the water level rising to the tops of your windows, but then you see a humongous slab of ice heading towards you . . .

It’s all coming down (well, technically, up — the Yukon flows north across the border) from Canada. So much for that Friendly Giant to the North. Time we taught them a lesson, in my opinion. A military strike? We shouldn’t rule it out.
