The Corner
“None of us knows what the future holds, but hopefully we can embrace what is inscribed in our coinage, ‘In God we Trust.'”
Earlier this week, a popular Catholic writer/blogger, Michael Dubruiel, died. His beloved wife, Amy (same description applies), has posted his final column for his local diocesan newspaper.
I can’t help but read it and think: 1) He was so ready. 2) He’s left a great gift to those who mourn — the knowledge of 1 and a sharing, again, of that deep faith he had.
You don’t have to be Catholic to read it. Or, to at least ask yourself the question: What if today is my last day? Presumably Michael Dubruiel didn’t know Monday was his last full day on this earth, but knowing it could be, he didn’t waste it.
