No Support

I don’t support the peaceniks. And there’s no sense pretending that I do. I must admit to a certain awe of folks who are capable of seeing evil in almost every aspect of our foreign and military policies. I could never do that. I have read some books about peaceniks, and have even lived and worked among them for many years. (I don’t always know what they’re paid, though.) All I can say about their demonstrations is that I am so very sorry for what has happened to them. I’m not advocating spitting on demonstrators, but I cannot honor what they do. My hope is that for their own sakes, the peaceniks will leave their demonstrations as quickly as possible and just go home.
