No Bragging Rights

One of the weirder lines being trotted out today is that everyone who said Alvin Bragg’s case was weak owes him an apology. But few of those people doubted that Bragg could win a conviction: Indeed, critics of the case commonly said that a New York jury would likely to convict. Critics instead claimed that the prosecution was abusive, selective, and imprudent. Their arguments are either sound (as I mostly think) or they’re not. The conviction doesn’t shed any light on who’s right.
