Never Mind the Bullock

Mad Dogs & Englishmen listeners will know that Charlie Cooke, being a nefarious foreigner, has a funny accent, no doubt picked up at that fancy college he went to. So when he asked me about a new project by our friend Bill Kristol called “the Bullock,” it did not occur to me that he was talking about “the Bulwark.” I’d never heard of “the Bullock,” because it doesn’t exist. The Bulwark of course does exist, and naturally I am familiar with it.

I like Charles and all, but everybody knows that National Review is no place for overly fancy accents.
