Nearly Two Thirds of Americans Oppose Afghanistan War

Nearly two-thirds of Americans think the war in Afghanistan is not worth fighting, according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll released today.

Sixty-four percent think the war hasn’t been worth it, with 49 percent agreeing strongly. Thirty-one percent remain convinced that the war was worth fighting.

Seventy-three percent believe that the U.S. should withdraw a significant number of troops this summer, although 53 percent doubt that there actually will be any significant troop withdrawal then.
