A national NBC poll released on Sunday shows Ron DeSantis leading Joe Biden by six points in swing states, while Trump trails Biden by two points:

Nationwide, DeSantis and Biden are tied at 47 percent in a head-to-head matchup, while Biden leads Trump 49 percent to 45 percent.
The good news for Biden is that the weaker general-election candidate, Trump, has seen his lead grow over DeSantis among GOP primary voters nationwide. Trump now leads DeSantis 51 percent to 22 percent — up from 46 percent to 31 percent in April.

One glimmer of hope for DeSantis is that a majority (53 percent) of GOP voters still name him as their first or second choice, while 63 percent say the same of Trump. The next closest candidates — Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, and Tim Scott — are each at 15 percent when you combine GOP primary voters’ first and second choices.
