Score this round for Costa/Chruchill. Of course I wish only the best for our guys — now that someone has told me the game is happening, I hope they win. But even with the gimmick of inter-league play deteriorating into match-ups the most rabid baseball fans can’t can get excited about, I imagine tonight’s showdown between the Kansas City Royals and the Cincinnati Reds is more anticipated in America than any soccer game (unless your six-year-old happens to be playing in it).
It really does seem like the Times is written only for Upper West Siders … or maybe just for other New York Times writers.
