The Morning After and the Day Before

Thanks to USA Today, though, for the reminder. Partial-birth-abortion is not irrelevant to Election Day. Far from.

Whatever faults a Republican Senate has (and there are certainly many), without conservatives in the Senate, that bill wouldn’t have happened in 2003 (only to get bogged down in the courts, which takes us to courts and The Court, and why voting matters…). Consider that even in the current Congress Harry Reid managed to block the Child-Custody Protection Act — a common-sense bill designed to keep adults from taking minor girls across state lines for an abortion without parental knowledge. Lose a Santorum and lose the majority and good luck ever getting much of anywhere on life.
