Obviously Rich is right — if a candidate, especially one who is increasingly becoming known as the flipper looks like he’s lying about anything it’s bad. Now people are seeing him as the guy who seems slippery not only on abortion, on Log Cabins, but now on the end of the world? But at some point on these Mormon questions (as I suggested over the weekend ) I think non Mormons are going to ask Why the media is even asking about the New Jerusalem and temple garments? That is, of course, if he gets to the point where people believe him on the other issues and they’re even focusing on his religion (a media obsession). If Romney doesn’t make it to the nomination, it’s not going to be the fact that he’s Mormon that’s going to do him in.
