A friend suggests a much more fun response:
I’d love to comment on Sen. McCain’s effort to build a path from my lawn to citizenship for Guatemalans, but somewhere it must be within 60 days of an election, and I wouldn’t want to violate his incumbent protection act, er, I mean his campaign finance “reform.” I think incumbents are going to need protection if his latest reform goes through. Let’s hope Sen. McCain doesn’t decide the stock market needs reform.
