More Chuckles Over the Gun Ban

Just arrived in the lovely Seacoast region of New Hampshire for tonight’s debate, after an unfortunate and delayed trip on a propeller plane, courtesy of U.S. Airways (poor Alan Colmes was there, suffering the same fate, as we waited nearly an hour on the tarmac).

In-flight reading included today’s Washington Post, with this story on D.C.’s defense of its handgun ban. The brief includes this gem:

“Whatever right the Second Amendment guarantees, it does not require the District to stand by while its citizens die.”

No, the District government has been doing that for years, all by itself. Don’t forget to check out Ramesh’s debate on the issue over at the WaPo web site.
