MAYBE THE FRENCH SHOULD REDEPLOY TO OKINAWA

I’m just back from Paris which is a lovely city – downtown, where the beautiful people live, shop, walk their dogs, dine and unashamedly smoke cigarettes. However, in the drab suburbs, where the poor are housed (or perhaps warehoused), the situation is becoming dire. Militant Islamist youths are attacking and injuring an average of 14 police officers every day.

According to the French Interior Ministry, nearly 2,500 officers have been wounded so far this year. A police union spokesman said its members are coping with nothing less than a “civil war.” Some are calling the violence a French “intifada.”
