Long Day in O-Hi-O

From Dave in Columbus:

Here’s the scoop from Columbus (Ohio.) If you remember yesterday I told

you leaving the downtown was wild, Bush and Kerry singholders all over the

place. However, the Bush people had the better locations to swing

neighberhoods and suburbs while the Kerry people were posted by off ramps

and streets heading to the more liberal “urbane’ areas they will win

anyway.

As far as the voting this morning. My wife and I waited an hour to vote

and we live in a strong W area. Other W area people reported the same. My

secretary and some others in the office that live in strong Kerry areas

also waited an hour or so to vote. Here’s the deal. No one has ever

waited to vote before. Either everyone is voting now or this will be the

record turnout everyone predicted. That having been said, friends of mine

both at GOP HQ and Dem HQ are ecstatic both laying out convincing

arguments and statistics of why that works for them. I am still

predicting a W victory, but it’s going to be wild!
