Use Your Mandate, a new political-action group formed by Democrats and independents, has released a television ad opposing secretary-of-defense nominee Chuck Hagel and encouraging viewers to call on their senators to vote against his confirmation.
The ad calls Hagel “anti-woman . . . anti-choice . . . anti-Israel . . . anti-gay . . . and pro-assault weapon,” and concludes, “there are other people who can do the job.” A source with Use Your Mandate told the Huffington Post that, due to group’s close ties to the Obama administration, its members and supporters are maintaining their anonymity.
