Let’s Play Off!

Mirabile dictu (as Bill Buckley would say), the Detroit Lions are in the playoffs. We have already won one game — for the first time since 1992. If we win a second game tomorrow, that will be the first time since 1957. We Detroit people don’t like to rush things.

Anyway, this is the opening topic of my Q&A — which is occasionally a sportscast — here. I am joined by my two regular gurus: David French and Vivek Dave. The latter is a Detroiter, or a Michigander, himself. David is a Kentuckian/Alabamian/Tennessean, and all over the map, when it comes to his rooting interests. But he is always sharp in his analysis.

We also discuss Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. Bill Belichick, now at loose ends. Nick Saban, also at loose ends (possibly retired). Is one of them the GOAT? The greatest coach of all time? NBA-wise, we get into Wemby, LeBron, Zion, and others. This is a wide-ranging sportscast, with two very knowledgeable and personable people. (I try to stay out of their way.)

Again, go here. And go Lions.
