Laffey In

K Lo: As you know, I’m going to write for NRO on Steve Laffey’s GOP primary challenge to Sen. Lincoln Chafee. Two quick comments about the new NRSC ad attacking Laffey. First, the NRSC is currently spending more money on negative advertising against a Republican than it is on negative advertising against any Democrat (such as Pennsylvania’s Bob Casey, who leads Sen. Rick Santorum in current polling). Second, those supposedly sinister “spy cameras” Laffey deployed were aimed at union workers who were caught napping on the job. The ad neglects to mention this important detail. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 251, wasn’t too happy about Laffey’s determination to make workers work. But why should the NRSC be so upset?
