On Special Report this evening, Charles Krauthammer lambasted the employer-mandate provision of the Affordable Care Act as an “idiotic regulation” and said that “It obviously inhibits hiring.” He also mocked the White House’s recent announcement that the mandate will be suspended until 2014: “If something’s working exactly as designed, you don’t announce a change in it in a blog post by the Assistant — Assistant — Secretary of the Treasury, on the eve of the Fourth of July, when Congress is out of session and everybody’s headed to the beach.”
