Iran has no intention of giving up its nuclear weapons, its president’s protestations to the contrary notwithstanding, Charles Krauthammer said tonight.
“He actually said, openly, ‘we have never sought and we are not seeking nuclear weapons’ is a bald-faced lie that everyone knows,” Krauthammer said, referring to a Washington Post op-ed by the Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani.
“How naïve do you have to be not to understand that this is a country within sight of a nuclear weapon, it’s a few months away . . . there is zero indication that it has changed in any way on that policy,” he said.
